Professor Andrew Woodward
Andrew is the Professor of Cybersecurity in the School of Science.
Andrew has worked as a cyber security academic, has provided advice to government, and has worked as a cyber security consultant undertaking vulnerability assessments of control systems operators, including power, water and gas, and has published numerous papers and given presentations on OT security.
Andrews research for the last 20 years has been focussed on a range of elements of what we now call cyber security, including wireless network security, digital forensics and risk management. However, Andrews main focus across this period has been the security of operational technology, and most recently he has become involved in the privacy and security of cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS). Andrew is also an active researcher in the discipline of horticulture, with a focus on post-harvest technology with the aim of reducing fruit and vegetable loss.
