Dr Amanda Cole (on long service leave)

Dr Amanda Cole is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Amanda’s specialty is in the area of mental health, well-being and family research. Amanda’s PhD is titled: Narratives of “living well”: Exploring the experiences of family members living with a family member with depression.

Amanda is currently on long service leave.

Background

Amanda has worked as a Registered Nurse for 20 years. She has experience in a variety of clinical settings including:

  • Neurosurgery and trauma
  • Respiratory and gastroenterology
  • ICU
  • E.D
  • Community adolescent
  • Mental health and forensic mental health services
  • Clinical facilitation – mental health

Amanda is also a Registered Teacher and has a strong interest in education, teaching and learning and student well-being.
