Professor Barbara Singer

Barbara is a Professor of Neurological Rehabilitation in the School of Medical and Health Science.

Background

Barbara is a Neurological Physiotherapist, an Honoured member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and is a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists. She has over thirty years of clinical and academic experience in neurological rehabilitation. She previously ran a post graduate program in neurological rehabilitation at the University of Western Australia (2004-16).

Research Areas and Interests

Current areas of research include the management of spasticity for people with acquired brain injury, self management support for people with long term neurological conditions, measuring outcomes in neurological rehabilitation, interventions to improve rehabilitation after stroke, falls prevention and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
