Dr Papanin Putsathit

Papanin is an early career researcher working with Professor Thomas Riley's Clostridium difficile research group located in PathWest Laboratory Medicine, Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre. Her research focuses on the molecular epidemiology and antimicrobial susceptibility of C. difficile in humans, livestock and the environment, and on as assessing the effectiveness of novel compounds against C. difficile. The overarching aims of her career are to deepen our understanding of the epidemiology of pathogens like C. difficile and identify better ways to manage and treat the related infection.
