BackgroundDr. Sartori has a passion for teaching Medical, Health & Science-based units in the laboratory, classroom or online environment. Engaging students in the learning process has always been a key focus of my teaching through practical tasks, critical thinking and humour. Julie’s background experience and academic studies include Nursing (Emergency & Trauma, Mental Health, General Practice, Obstetrics & Gynaecology), BSc Human Biology. Previous research experience includes significant contributions to the Placenta Project ECU, RAINE Study at the University of Western Australia and The Australian Fathers Study). Having completed a PhD with Dr David Coall (Placenta Project) at ECU, Julie is currently research-active, with the Placenta Project and supervising several postgraduate students in the field of reproductive health. As a published researcher in reproductive health and an ongoing passion for student education,Julie is now committed to furthering her academic contribution into the university teaching and learning space.
