Dr Quoc Viet Phung

Dr Viet Phung is the lecturer in Electronics and Communications in the School of Engineering at ECU.

Dr Viet Phung is interested in innovating and integrating smart technologies into next generation and green communication, as well as IoT. A number of industry-collaborated R&D projects have been conducted under his leadership in the automotive, agricultural, and renewable industries.

As part of these projects, both hardware and software have been developed for ground-based remote sensing, data acquisition, and optimisation using pattern recognition and machine learning, and IoT platforms. The focus of his research has shifted to the next generation of communication technologies. In this research theme, smart technologies are integrated with advanced communication, sensing, data acquisition, analysis, and artificial intelligence.
