Dr Jalleh Sharafizad
Dr Jalleh Sharafizad is the Course Coordinator and a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation within the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University.
A recognised expert in entrepreneurship, business development, and innovation, Dr Sharafizad has an extensive record of high-impact research published in leading international journals. Her achievements have been acknowledged through several prestigious awards, including the University of Antwerp Staff Exchange Erasmus Program Award (2023), the ECU Athena SWAN Advancement Scheme Award (2019), and the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Teaching Scholarship at the University College of Enterprise and Administration in Lublin (2025). She has also contributed to the global academic community by chairing the Networks in Changing Business Ecosystems 3rd International Symposium.
Beyond her academic achievements, Dr Sharafizad has led multiple government and industry funded initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of women entrepreneurs across urban and regional areas. She actively supports business owners through the development of tailored training programs, the facilitation of networking opportunities, and the provision of strategic guidance for both emerging and established enterprises. Her commitment to business development is further demonstrated through her service as an elected Board Member of the Wanneroo Business Association (2018–2022), where she played a key role in strengthening business capacity in Western Australia.
