Associate Professor Ferry Jie

Ferry Jie is an Associate Professor at the School of Business and Law and currently a Chair of Students Appeal Committee at ECU.  Ferry is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute Logistics and Transport (FCILT). Ferry is also a part of the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) and the Chartered Institute Logistics and Transport Australia (CILTA) WA Committee.

Biography

Ferry has graduated his doctorate study from The University of Sydney in 2008. His PhD thesis is Supply Chain Analysis in the Australian Beef Industry. Currently Dr Jie is an Associate Professor at School of Business and Law, Edith Cowan University. Previously, he was a Senior Lecturer and taking a program coordinator role in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) at RMIT University. He was managing and coordinating the undergraduate program in LSCM at RMIT from 2015 to 2016.

Ferry Jie has maintained a high quality of research throughout his academic career including international scholarly leadership in the areas of supply chain management and logistics, including regularly being invited to be a keynote speaker and to give public lectures at symposiums and international conferences in Indonesia, Pakistan, Bhutan, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, UK, Sri Lanka, and Australia.

From 2017 to now, published more than 88 refereed journal articles—including 51 articles in SCIMAGO Q1-ranked journals and 12 articles in Q2-ranked journals, and 9 refereed conference papers. Furthermore, Dr Jie has received research grants/awards adding over $1.7 million between 2017 and 2024.
