Dr Shajimon Peter
Shajimon is a Senior Lecturer for Bachelor of Social Work at the School of Arts and Humanities.
Shajimon is an award-winning student from Sussex University in the UK where he pursued his qualifying Master of Social Work programme of study. He was given the John Simmonds Outstanding achievement Award for his remarkable achievements and progress in a demanding professional course which he undertook in an unfamiliar policy and practice context. Shajimon worked with the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) in New Zealand as a Senior Lecturer of Social work where he taught Bachelor of Social Work Students.
He worked as a Research Fellow at the Auckland University in New Zealand. Shajimon taught Master of Social Work (MSW) students at Marian College Kuttikkanam affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University and was MSW Programme Coordinator. He worked as the Regional Officer of Caritas India, the official organisation of the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of India (CBCI) for social development works.
