Dr Jayden Greenwell-Barnden

Jayden is a Lecturer and Unit Coordinator in the School of Arts and Humanities, specialising in psychology and quantitative methods.

Background

Jayden Greenwell-Barnden completed his PhD at the University of Western Australia in 2023. His PhD investigated profiling multi-tasking ability and its application to automation in complex environments such as air traffic control. His research was funded by a Defence Science and Technology Group grant. Since his appointment as a lecturer at Edith Cowan University, he has taught research methods and statistics to undergraduate students, and overseen the Work Integrated Learning unit Applications of Psychological Literacy, preparing third year students for their career journey in psychology.

Jayden is pursuing research focused on applying advanced quantitative method to questions of individual differences, including in areas of resilience, student mental health and wellbeing. Jayden is also interested in crime and justice related issues, having completed a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society. Jayden has previously worked on studies investigating the impact of negative life events in students, climate change anxiety, and human factors topics during his PhD and Post Doctoral work at UWA. Jayden is open to research collaborations in these and related areas.
