Dr Annemarie De Leo

Annie is an Implementation Science research fellow (Post-doctoral) at the Nutrition & Health Innovation Research Institute in the School of Medical and Health Sciences.

Background

Dr Annemarie (Annie) De Leo is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow with more than 15 years of clinical experience as a nurse/midwife.  For the past 8 years, Annie has been working in the field of Implementation Science (IS), exploring ways to bridge the research-to-practice gap in healthcare.  Today, she is working with WACHS to improve access to evidence-based care (i.e., exercise and nutrition support) for all people living with cancer in regional Western Australia (WA).

Research Areas and Interests

Participatory research, co-design, Consumer and Community Involvement (CCI), Implementation Science, Oncology services and Cancer.
